Things to do

Found in the province of Ilocos Sur is a well-preserved town that reminds Filipinos its Spanish colonial era. Calle Crisologo is located in the town of Vigan where cobblestone walkways and mansions of yester-years are found. The town is a picture of a time in the 16th century when ‘calesas’ (horse-drawn carrieges) were people’s main mode of transportation.

Take in the vibrant scene and learn about the town’s history. Sip in that cup of coffee, perhaps paired with the famous ‘longganisa’ from Ilocos for breakfast. The house of Father Burgos’ of the Gomburza trio is right around the corner.

Nearby places

User comments:

The nostalgic aura of the strip takes you down memory lane. The street of Calle Crisologo is an array of old Spanish houses. This has been preserved by the local government to give the next generation a picture of how it is during the colonial era. ‘Calesas’ (horse driven cart) are also seen everywhere to add to the feels... #choosephilippines - Salvie Alvaro
